Basil’s Vehicles for Vets

The Basil Family of Dealerships has partnered with the Veterans One Stop Center of Western New York for the second annual “Vehicles for Vets” campaign, a summer long promotion in which a veteran or active serving military member will win a new vehicle. Since Memorial Day, the public has been able to go online and nominate friends and family who they believe deserve the new car.

Over the course of nine weeks, Basil has collected 1,000 nominations online and has chosen one random finalist every week to be in the final car giveaway. Each finalist was also highlighted every Monday morning on-air during Country 106.5 WYRK’s Breakfast Club morning show. The nine random finalists are now invited to the Erie County Fair’s “Veterans Day at the Fair” on August 14th, which provides free admission to all vets and active military members.

The grand prize of the new vehicle from Basil will be awarded just prior to the Hunter Hayes concert on the GUSTO Grandstand stage at 7:00pm. The winner may choose from 1 of 5 brand new cars or $21,000 in Basil Bucks towards a used vehicle and the person who nominated the winner will receive $1,000 cash!

Throughout the promotion Basil has made a goal to raise $50,000 for the Veterans One Stop Center – a BBB Accredited Charity proud to be the region’s premier Veterans service and advocacy agency, empowering our Veterans and Service Members in their transition to civilian life. The VOC provides a multitude of services from benefits and financial counseling to housing aid. The public is highly encouraged to go online to basilcars.com/vehiclesforvets to view all of the wonderful nominations that The Basil Family of Dealerships has received, as well as attend the Hunter Hayes concert at the Erie County Fair on August 14th at 7:00pm.
