The Trax is powered by a 1.2-liter turbocharged engine that produces excellent low-end torque. There are also available skid plates, and all-terrain tires. You get the same cargo capacity as the Trax, and the easy-to-maneuver size of the Trailblazer means it’s just as at home in the city as it is on the trails. And although the Trailblazer has the same 1.2-liter engine as the Trax, it comes with a 9-speed automatic transmission, good for both the low-end torque that you want while offroading, but also giving a boost to the city fuel economy.

The Equinox also delivers when it comes to fuel economy, and the ride is exceptionally comfortable. The 63.5 cubic feet of cargo space makes it as practical as it is desirable. With an acoustic-laminated windshield and active noise cancellation, the cabin is quiet and refined, with charging ports for everyone, and wireless Apple CarPlay / Android Auto capability for compatible phones. With its good looks and comfortable interior, it’s easy to see why the Equinox is such a hit.

Both engines come with a 9-speed automatic transmission, and you can choose front- or all-wheel drive with either engine. Handling is exceptional, as is befitting a performance machine, and fuel economy is quite good, despite all the extra power. The interior is the biggest of any of the Chevrolet’s 5-seat SUVs, and a towing capacity of 4,500 pounds means that you can easily tow whatever won’t fit in the back. Big wheels and standard all-LED exterior lighting gives the Blazer a look that matches its performance abilities.

With its standard V6 and 9-speed automatic transmission, the Traverse will also tow up to 5,000 pounds, and with the seats folded down, you can fit a whopping 97.6 cubic feet of cargo inside as well. With its 328 horsepower, the Traverse will likely surprise you with its peppiness, and whether you opt for the front- or the all-wheel drive, the Traverse handles better than any 3-row SUV would ever be expected to. An available 12-speaker Bose® stereo system gives you incredible sound quality, turning the spacious interior into a concert hall.

Today, most SUVs are built using unibody construction. This has its advantages, but when you need something tough, something that can handle whatever you throw at it, you need a body-on-frame SUV that’s built like a truck. You need a Chevy Tahoe. The huge interior seats 8, and that’s 8 adults, no cramped 3rd row here. With its standard V8 engine, and available larger V8 or 3.0-liter diesel engine, the Tahoe has more than enough power for whatever you need to do. The Z71 gives you a dedicated offroad trim, with an Autotrac® 2-speed transfer case, skid plates, recovery hooks, and all-terrain tires, all standard. This is the go-anywhere, do-anything SUV.
2025 Suburban

Key Features
- Starting at $62,000 MSRP
- Standard 5.3L V8 engine, with optional 6.2L V8 engine, or 3.0L Duramax® Turbo Diesel engine
- OnStar® & Chevrolet Connected Services capable
- Available 12-way power driver and front passenger seats
Chevrolet’s original SUV, the current Suburban is the roomiest vehicle in the lineup, with an absolutely cavernous 144.7 cubic feet of cargo space. In most areas, the Suburban is identical to the Tahoe, with the same engines, trims, and optional equipment. The big difference is that the Suburban has extra space behind the third row of seats, so that you don’t have to choose between willing all 8 seats and bringing a large quantity of cargo. Even with all of the seats filled, the Suburban still offers 41.5 cubic feet of cargo space, more than a lot of SUVs with only two rows of seats offer. If you need the most space you can possibly find in an SUV, the Suburban is the only choice.
