Toyota RAV4
The RAV4 recently became the best-selling vehicle in the US market, after more than 70 years of dominance from the F-Series. But Toyota isn’t resting on its laurels, and a completely redesigned RAV4 debuted for 2026. This new generation is hybrid-only, with a choice of conventional hybrid or plug-in hybrid drivetrains. There is also a new Woodland trim that comes ready for more rugged activities, thanks to standard all-wheel drive, all-terrain tires, a set of LED foglights, and more.
Key Features
- Choice of conventional hybrid or PHEV drivetrains
- Available all-wheel drive
- New rugged Woodland trim
- 10.5-in. Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen
- Available 9-speaker JBL® Premium Audio including subwoofer and amplifier
- Dual zone automatic climate control system with dust and pollen filter and rear-seat vents

Volkswagen Atlas
Though it is technically a 2027, the second generation of the Volkswagen Atlas arrives in the fall of 2026. It brings with it a new and noticeably more premium look that is also more athletic. It is still powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, but power output has increased to 282 horsepower. Lighting has been completely rethought as well, with more distinctive exterior lighting as well as interior ambient lighting that is more customizable. New colors are available, with sophisticated hues that offer welcome relief from the usual blacks, whites, and greys you see everywhere else.
Key Features
- 2.0-liter turbocharged engine producing 282 horsepower
- Available all-wheel drive
- Available full-width front double light line
- New Sandstone, Blackberry, and Sacramento Green paint colors
- Available R‑Line® design elements
- Three rows of seats

Mitsubishi Eclipse Sportback
It might have a somewhat familiar name, but the Eclipse Sportback is an entirely new model debuting in 2026 as a 2027 model. Mitsubishi was one of the first legacy automakers to get into electric vehicles with the i-MiEV, and the Eclipse Sportback continues that legacy. For this new electric vehicle, Mitsubishi partnered with Nissan, another EV early adopter, and the Eclipse Sportback shares its mechanical underpinnings with the Nissan Leaf. The differences between the two vehicles are cosmetic, but still significant.
Key Features
- New model continues Mitsubishi’s long history with battery electric vehicles
- Storied Eclipse name reaches back to its North American debut in 1990
- New BEV will be sourced from Mitsubishi Motors’ Alliance partner Nissan Motor Co. and based on the next-generation Nissan LEAF
- Vehicle to go on sale in late summer or early fall 2026

Chevrolet Silverado 1500
The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 enters its fifth generation this year as a 2027 model. The new generation has refreshed looks, particularly the front fascia, which incorporates redesigned and more distinct lighting elements. The same three cab sizes and three bed sizes carry over to the new generation, and the same four engines as well, although both V8 options have been significantly refreshed. The new ZR2 is the most capable off-road trim of the Silverado 1500 ever, serving as the flagship of the three off-road trims offered for the Silverado 1500.
Key Features
- Choice of three cabs and three beds
- Choice of four engines: one turbocharged four-cylinder, a six-cylinder diesel, and two newly-redesigned gasoline V8s
- Seven trim levels, including three off-road-focused trims
- Redesigned LED headlights and taillights
- 16.3-inch center infotainment touchscreen
- Available Super Cruise
