Ford Hybrid and EV Model Lineup

Ford Hybrid and EV Model Lineup

Ford knows that versatility is the key to a well-rounded lineup, and one of the best ways to offer that versatility is a wide variety of drivetrain options. So Ford offers all of the gasoline and diesel options you’ve always loved, and now hybrid and pure electric options have joined the lineup as well. Since many of these drivetrains come in vehicles that also offer conventional drivetrains, usually as standard equipment, it might not be obvious just how extensive the hybrid and electric lineup from Ford actually is. So we put together this guide to Ford’s extensive and exciting electrification.

Ford Hybrids

Ford Escape

2024 Ford Escape Hybrid

Key Features

  • Starting at $33,490 (for hybrid-equipped) MSRP*
  • 2.5L iVCT Atkinson Cycle I-4 Hybrid drivetrain producing 192 horsepower and 155 lb-ft of torque
  • Standard 42 city / 36 highway / 39 combined MPG**
  • LED Signature exterior lighting
  • Dual-Zone Electronic Automatic Temperature Control
  • Ford Co-Pilot360™

In the highly competitive world of compact SUVs, the Escape remains such a popular model in part thanks to offering more drivetrain options than the competition. This makes sense, since a big part of the appeal of a compact SUV is the superior fuel economy, and the Escape Hybrid’s fuel economy gives it a significant advantage in this area. But there’s a lot more than that to like, like the advanced SYNC® 4 infotainment system, and the available 13.2-inch touchscreen that you use to control it. And options like a Panoramic Vista Roof®, Active Park Assist 2.0, and the 10-speaker B&O® Sound System by Bang & Olufsen® make for an enjoyable experience while you go a long time between gas station visits.

Ford Escape Plug-In Hybrid

2024 Ford Escape Plug-In Hybrid

Key Features

  • Starting at $40,500 (for plug-in hybrid-equipped)MSRP*
  • 2.5L iVCT Atkinson Cycle I-4 Plug-In Hybrid drivetrain producing 210 horsepower and 155 lb-ft of torque
  • Standard 101 MPGe combined
  • LED Headlamps with coast-to-coast light bar
  • Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go, Lane Centering and Speed Sign Recognition
  • Heated Front Row Seats

As hybrid drivetrains become a more popular option in the compact SUV segment, Ford has raised the bar by offering the Escape with both a “conventional” and a plug-in hybrid drivetrain. This drivetrain doesn’t just offer more horsepower than both the standard gasoline drivetrain and the optional conventional hybrid, but it also delivers a combined fuel economy rating of 101 MPGe. That’s better fuel economy than popular competitors like the Toyota RAV4 Prime or the Kia Sportage Plug-In. The Escape Plug-In Hybrid is also a trim level unto itself, and comes extremely well-equipped.

Ford Maverick

2024 Ford Maverick

Key Features

  • Starting at $25,420 (for hybrid-equipped) MSRP*
  • 2.5L iVCT Atkinson Cycle I-4 Hybrid drivetrain producing 191 horsepower and 155 lb-ft of torque

  • 4,000 lbs. Towing capacity with Max Tow Package
  • Max payload of 1,500 lbs.
  • Seating for 5

The Maverick became a big hit immediately on its debut, and it’s not difficult to see why. While Ford’s full-size trucks set the standard for their segments in things like towing capacity, there is a real need for an affordable and utilitarian truck that will easily fit in a smaller parking space. This is a segment that is almost completely ignored by other brands, and the Maverick not only fills that need, but it is also one of the most affordable hybrid vehicles on the market. The Maverick is just the truck you’ve been waiting for.

Ford F-150

2024 Ford F-150

  • 11,200 lbs max towing capacity with hybrid drivetrain
  • 1,735 lbs. Max payload with hybrid drivetrain
  • 4X4 standard with hybrid drivetrain

The F-150 defines the American pickup truck, the F-Series has been the best-selling vehicle in America for decades. This is partly because of the usual reasons that make a truck great, things like class-leading towing capacity and an excellent record of dependability. But the F-150 is also where you see all of the latest advancements in truck technology, and that includes the optional hybrid drivetrain. This drivetrain doesn’t just deliver segment-leading fuel efficiency, it’s also the powerful non-Raptor drivetrain available for the F-150, delivering exceptional towing and payload capacity and performance.

Ford F-150 Lightning

2024 Ford F-150 Lightning

  • Starting at $62,995 MSRP*

  • 10,000 lbs towing capacity with Max Tow Package
  • 2,235 lbs max payload

With all of the technological innovation that comes with the F-150, it’s no surprise that an all-electric version beat the competition to market by a significant margin. The F-150 takes everything that you already love about the F-150 and pairs it with an all-electric drivetrain. 4WD is standard, and the power that the drivetrain produces is immense. And unlike competing electric pickups, the F-150 Lighting is body-on-frame, just like every other F-Series truck. It’s also significantly more affordable, priced in keeping with the rest of the F-150 lineup. If you’re looking for an electric truck that you can just use like you’ve always used a pickup truck, the F-150 Lightning is the best option, and it’s not even close.

  • Range of up to 300 miles**
  • 0-60 in 3.3 seconds

Electric drivetrains aren’t just for trucks, the huge amounts of torque they produce can also make for some seriously exciting performance matches. That’s why the Mustang Mach-E can hit 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds while still providing comfortable seating for five. With the Mach-E, there is no compromising performance for efficiency, you get both at the same time, wrapped in the same attractive package. There are different levels of performance available, and you can opt for all-wheel drive, more power, Brembo™ brakes, or a long list of rally-ready equipment. Whether you’re driving on the road or off, the Mustang Mach-E delivers supercar levels of acceleration for a Mustang price, and that’s a big win.

  • Up to 536.4 cubic feet of cargo space

In much the same way that Ford pickups lead their segments in utility, Ford’s other commercial vehicles bring technology and utility to their segments that aren’t available from competitors. A fantastic example of this is the E-Transit, an all-electric version of the popular Transit van. With two body lengths and three roof heights to choose from, as well as Chassis Cab and Cutaway versions, there is an E-Transit for nearly any application. With a range of 159 miles, the E-Transit is a fantastic way for fleet operators to massively cut down on fuel costs.
