SPRINGVILLE, N.Y. — Basil Family Dealerships, one of Western New York’s longest-standing family-owned automotive groups, spanning over 70 years, has announced the acquisition of Emerling Ford, Inc. and Emerling Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Springville, New York. The transaction closes this weekend, and the two Springville dealerships will operate as Basil Ford of Springville and Basil Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Springville beginning Monday, October 5, 2026.

The acquisition marks the 11th and 12th rooftops in the Basil group and represents the family’s first expansion into the Springville and Southern Erie County community. The Emerling name has been a fixture on South Cascade Drive in Springville for decades, and the Basil family intends to honor that legacy while investing in the stores, the employees, and the customers they have long served.

The Basil Family Dealerships are committed to being a positive presence in Springville from day one. Both stores will remain at their current locations on South Cascade Drive. Existing service appointments, parts orders, and warranty work will be honored without interruption. Current employees have been extended a continuing role. Vehicle service, sales inquiries, and community sponsorships already in progress will continue without disruption.

Over the coming months, the Basil Family intends to reinvest in the Springville stores through facility improvements, expanded parts and service capacity, additional technician training positions, and continued participation in the local sports, school, and civic programs that Emerling has historically supported. For Current and Future Customers

Customers of the former Emerling Ford and Emerling Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram stores do not need to take any action. Warranties, service records and parts orders transfer seamlessly to the Basil-branded stores. Customers can continue to reach the dealerships at the same locations and same phone numbers.
