Basil Family Dealerships Collect over 3,500 Toys for Tots

This holiday season, the employees of the Basil Family Dealerships collected over 3,200 toys for Toys for Tots.

Since 2004, Basil has been a major contributor to Toys for Tots, collecting well over 50,000 toys. This year was no different. The employees rallied together to help spread cheer to children who might not otherwise have a present to unwrap this holiday season.

Robert Basil of Robert Basil Buick GMC Cadillac explained, “We truly believe that every child deserves a little bit of magic during the holidays and we couldn’t be more proud of our family of employees that came together. We had an entire box truck filled to the brim with toys. Just imagine, every one of those are going to be unwrapped by a child this holiday season. It’s unbelievable. We recognize we are lucky and it’s important to help out our neighbors when they may be down on their luck.”

The toys were collected from 11 Basil Family Dealership locations on Friday, December 15th. While collecting the toys, Basil received a call from Dorian Gaskin , Vice President of the Buffalo F.A.T.H.E.R.S. Group of Buffalo, as they needed toys to help round out their Toys for Joy distribution. Basil was able to drop off enough toys to help them successfully pull off their event on Saturday night. The remainder of the toys were dropped off to Toys for Tots to be distributed to various other organizations throughout Western New York, just in time for the holidays!
